Newbie looking at an XCEED 1.5t-gdi

Hi, thanks for the speedy reply - I'm currently driving a Seat Leon FR 1.4 which has 125bhp so nothing special, but definitely feels quicker off the mark than the XCEED that I tested. I think it's more that the initial acceleration was lacking & seemed to need winding up first. I'm too old to race folk at the lights but like the confidence that I can get out of the way if anyone surprises me at an island or out of a junction.
You mention a throttle reset - is that something that the dealership would do? The car I was looking at is a 71 plate with under 5k miles on the clock, guessing there shouldn't be anything wrong throttle wise?
I'm about to come from a Leon Excellence manual with the 150bhp engine. I test drove the Proceed with the 1.5 DCT ( same engine ) and though it was not as 'nippy' on getaway as the Leon it was certainly no slouch, just a question of getting used to it. if it had been sluggish I would not have ordered it and would have probably gone for a Cupra. It appears the Xceed is a heavier car too, the Leon FR 125 is 1156Kg ( Parkers ), the Xceed, and I assume you mean the new one starts at around 1300Kg ( Kia ) and goes up, depending on the model.

Id suggest that pedal response, something like the DTUK device would liven things up.

The Leon is aimed at a more sporty and younger segment than I believe the xceed/Ceed/proceed are and that’s possibly why they are more tame on take off.
Oh that's nice I'm younger and sportier than I thought 👍. Still about to draw my pension though. At the end of the day the Leon is a Spanish Golf, the Golf has always been fairly nippy compared to its class rivals.
