I have just purchased the above.Can anybody tell me the correct starting procedure .What I do is depress clutch and foot brake.Press Start button.Car won’t move as handbrake still on.Then have to press foot brake again Push park switch down and press auto lock. This seems a bit of a guddle.Is there an easier way to get the car moving.

I only have a Stonic. So do not have the electric brake (which I assume you have)
I would just depress clutch, then start button, then press foot brake and that should release electric brake.

Pretty sure a Sportage owner will confirm the best procedure.

Sounds a bit fishy to me!

Tried putting foot on brake pedal and of again but did not help.had to push park switch down and press auto lock .

Been looking at the Sportage over the holiday and you have confused me. I have looked on-line again and there is no 2.0l GTS manual listed.

My existing car (not a Kia) has electric handbrake and starting and moving off is simple. Depress clutch, turn key, engage gear and release clutch. On the odd occasion it does not want to move but a quick dab on the brake pedal solves that issue.

Sorry should have said GT Line.will have to check if dab on brake releases it.
