Picked this up today, new 1.5 tgdi.
Les tec than the xceed but seems to be back to feeling like a car you steer and not it.

Hated the xceed
The 2017 4tec sportwagon it replaced was a bad move..

However this seems great, less goodies, even tho it's 3..but all good so far.
In the new lunar silver paint..

Hi Lonner, welcome to the forum.

Looks very nice. No amount of tech can make-up for a car that isn't enjoyable to drive, IMHO; most of it is b*ll**ks anyway!

Interested to hear your thoughts on the new 1.5 engine as you get more miles under your belt.

I'm thinking so far the new 1.5 is a lot more refined, gearbox is a lot better too, not as notchy as earlier versions.
Maybe it's been re designed..I don't know but so far I'm very pleased

Will keep you posted

Had the car nearly 2 weeks now.

250 miles..
It's quite noisy road noise wise..
Maybe these michelin tyres enhance this?
For a 3 model it's a bit basic ..
No heated seat or steering wheel no electric handbrake...boot rail system ,our 2017 sportwagon had it..
Not a major problem but it is a 3..
The xceed it replaced was a 3 and my optima is too ,both fully loaded..

That aside it's a very nice drive and a lot nicer road manners than the xceed.

It's anti stall is set higher and probably why the car moves off better than the 1.4 xceed which often lurched and died a bit..unless you revved it a bit..

BUT ,the wife loves it...so :ROFLMAO: I'm very happy with it ...

I think most road noise is down to the actual road surface.
We have a road near us that was concrete, but was then tarmaced over. Still got the old thunk, thunk as you went over the joins. They have now dug up 1 mtr sections of it every 50 mtr.
It goes from dead quiet to really noisy over the dug up sections.... Which is why I think surface makes the most difference. 🤷‍♂️ 🤷‍♂️

Thought I might as well ask in this thread - what's the height like of the boot space up to the load cover? I'm currently torn between a Ceed SW or a Proceed and wasn't sure what the difference is in terms of the height of the boot space.

Just had a little away day in the new car, now at 400 miles

Wow..fuel economy on this 1.5 engine is bloody startling..just under 60 mpg ,I never got more than 45 in the 1.4 xceed

This was A road driving average traffic and a few slow road work sections..I use the auto cut out .
I didn't drive above any limits and used the gears as you would with a new car..the car does whine a bit in 6th like the xceed but what a absolutely lovely car this SW is..
100% love it
