Well just had the front tyres replaced on the Tempest (auto) after 22000 mls, had to go through kwik-fit because its a motabillity car and after a week of searching (so they said-hummm) they could only get Nexens so Nexens it is then. Bit strange after they managed to fit a Bridgestone last year as I had a rear puncture, told me they are no longer available. Me thinks maybe the Nexen is just a cheaper option.

I would imagine it is not just a fact the Nexens are a cheaper option but I higher profit option. The are most probably able to have a higher markup on them.
The Nexens are just under £110 per corner on black circles where as Bridestones are £225 each but are run flats.. I would never choose run flats if possible i believe that can't be fixed if you get a puncture and I know of at least two people destroying alloys in pot holes with run flats fitted.

Here is a link.

run flats have stiffer sidewalls..... it will make the ride worse. Best with normal good quality tyres in my opinion.
