Having purchased a full specification Sportage Hybrid in August 2023, a number of issues have been apparant. First of all the voice guidance and the screen information sometimes give conflicting instructions. Also it will often tell you to turn "Half left or Right" which obviously means "Keep Left or Right", when actually you need to take the next turning from your current route. In consequence you have to check the screen before making your turn. Also speed limits are not shown correctly, for example in some built up areas with a maximum speed of 30mph, it actually shows 80mph - this is just one example.
Much of the mapping systems in towns are out of date, with guidance down a one way street from the wrong direction, and also into pedestrian zones. There are other anomolies also. My system has been updated to the latest version by a Kia Dealership, but still many faults exist. Does anyone else in the UK and Europe have similar issues?

Hi & welcome.

have you updated software all all? As there was a update in Nov/Dec 2023. Which version are you showing on head unit? This is now a self update & your car should be OTA enabled, but it is only 2 free OTA updates.

If you are referring to speed limits coming up on the dash, this is the camera picking up a sign. Which are easily fooled by muck on signs, or even a side road sign at a angle that gets picked up.
Mapping depends on local councils updating mapping co's with changes (no single reporting system, last known was 3 different systems) Which is why many use Android Auto or Apple car play & google maps/Waze or the other apps you can use for navigation.

You can have turns displaying within your dash display, to save looking at head unit.
