Hi all.
No idea if this is of any interest to anyone but although the under boot floor storage compartments are handy. My circumstances dictated that I didn't need that many of them and as there was no spare wheel I thought I could make use of the masses of room underneath the boot floor.
All that was required was a piece of 100cm x 50cm (3mm thick) Aluminium chequer plate at £30
60cm would be better so I didn't need that piece of varnished wood but that would have cost £85 so wasn't worth it.
Two 100mm deep x 22mm thick x 2.4m timber £12.
Two hinges, rivets, 20mm rubber seal and most importantly 12 adjustable feet so you can get the floor level as it does slope a bit.
It's given one massive storage space and was very easy to do.
Total cost was about £60.

Looks very nice Speedy but I think if it was me - I would rather have a big fat spare wheel in there :ROFLMAO:

B burger, yep I thought about doing similar but the flat load lip is better for my needs, totally get why you did it.
Seams a shame that Kia don't make slightly better use (or give options) of the underfloor storage like my old Skoda Octavia as its vast.
