I may be a complete dolt! I have been searching for roof bars that would fit my Mk 2 without rails. They Dont Exist - apparently. What I'm advised to do is find a set of roof rails and retro fit them where the flush "rails" are. Has anyone tried this? Or had their flush rails off to see below?
Any advice greatly appreciated

This is in no way a recommendation although I got my bars /feet from here for my Venga and they are spot on so I'd certainly use them again as they delivered quickly and the items delivered were correct for my car and at a competitive price. (which frankly , is all you can ask really ie: to have something delivered you ordered on time and the correct item.)
