Hi

I'm looking at buying a Kia Sedona next week but have read that the cam belt change is difficult/expensive.With the mileage on the one I'm looking at, I'd guess it's not had the cambelt changed but will need it at next service.

I don't want to buy an expensive problem so can anyone tell me if there are any Kia specialists in the Manchester/Cheshire area who can do a cambelt at a reasonable cost?

Thanks,

Higs

Hi it pays to shop around, here in Northampton I have a 2004 Sedona, Bells Kia want £975 for cambelt cam belt kit and water pump, BUT just 17 miles from me MK Kia want £517 for the same job, so get a good few quotes, also normal garages will also do the job.

£500-550 seems to be the ball park figure that Kia dealers want to supply and change the belt and tensioners, local back stret guys might do it cheaper but many dont want the hassle of it.
