Hi
I'm a new member, I didn't know there was a members club until I was looking on the web for any advice to a problem I have with my Magentis.

I don't no if any body can help but my car ticks over at 2000 revs and the engine management light is on, I've checked the vacuum pipes and the throttle linkage and can't find any thing wrong.

You can buy a disc with software for a lap top and a lead off the net to get a fault code. This will tell you where to look next. Scan tools or obd2 are the best I have used. Good luck

You really need to get the code from the Ecu as mentioned above.

Can't help until you get that information.

It's cheaper to buy a diagnostic code reader than it is to take it to a garage in most cases.

Check eBay for the best deal on an OBD 2 reader, should get one for £20 or so.

Possibly idle control valve or throttle position sensor. Try running the car and unplug either one whilst running for about 5 seconds and reconnect. Stop engine and wait for a another few seconds and restart and see if problem is fixed. Sometimes this can reset them.
