I have a 2009 proceed ZR-7 1.4 petrol and the engine check light came on earlier this week. I have a diagnostic scanner and it was showing code P0172. I googled the code and it said that the air-fuel mixture was too rich and one of the possible causes was a faulty or dirty MAF sensor. According to other similar threads on this forum the sensor should be located somewhere between the air filter box and inlet manifold but I'm not seeing it anywhere in the engine bay. Could someone please post a pic or diagram showing where to look. Thanks in advance.

Sorry do not know the layout of your car but every car I have owned with a MAF senor has always been in the air duct after the air filter, normally round with a plug with 4 wires. Once you found it you should be able to unbolt/remove clips and clean with special cleaner (mass air flow cleaner spray can)

Yes it's there, I would advise against specialist cleaning fluids. Give it a good soak and swooshing in hot water and dish washing detergent then a good rinse with hot water and dry on top of a radiator. It is designed for exposure to water but not thinners.

In fact be a love and see if you can unplug it and see if the performance improves with it unplugged, first.
