Hi out there.
I just bought a 2006 Sportage with 235/60R16 bridgestones. Off ski-ing in a fortnight, and I'd prefer some more aggressive snow tyres. Bad news! Hardly any tyre manufacturers do this size in a proper M&S tread pattern. I particularly like General Grabber AT2s, but they apparently don't exist in UK this size.Should I considerusing 215/65R16s instead? Anyone done that and, if so, what does it do to handling, etc?

I'd also like to find headlight protectors/beam deflectors, and a waterproof boot tray - but no success on the web so far.

All ideas gratefully received!

Welcome to the club jimreed. The difference in diameter is onlyminus2.5mm on the 215/65/16 so there should not be any clearance problems. Just watch your insurance tho' as some are fussy what tyres you run on the car as it is classed as a mod.
