Any ideas why my '09 Carens 2.0ltr CRDi Auto has an intermittent 'jerky' feel to the engine at 40-50 mph are? It was serviced when purchased a few weeks ago.

Hi Who2005 how many miles have you done?
My car was jerky when new, more so when the DPF was going through a regeneration.

After 16K miles smooth as silk

The poor running I experienced last year was down to the EGR valve - replaced under warranty.

Tim beat me to it, make sure the EGR valve replacement has been done, it's a recall item.
Other than that it could be when it's doing a regen but not normally that noticeable except the smell of burning when stationary (just so you're aware).

Hi Supacabby

I have just posted on the surging topic, then i read this post.

Our Kia has not had a recall for it's EGR valve replacement and it wasn't done during it's October service. Thanks for the tip off.
