It's very easy to lock yourself out of a Carens Mk2, dont leave key in ignition even if its running, I thought it shouldnt be possible but it it happned to me going to work one night, no spare key. Two hours later AA relay broke in for me. if you touch the fob or the door locking button on the way out and let the door close your locked out. £70 for a key cutting, just a normal key, not a remote one, you have been WARNED!

Slightly cheaper option: Get a key cut to pattern to use only for the door (ie. no chip so won't activate ignition etc.) then hide it under the car making sure it's properly secured with cable ties or similar, from memorymine was appx £20 & is neatly wrapped up in it's plastic bag where only I know where to find it!
