Hi, i just bought a pair of good h7 led lights. First of all, yes i know they are not road legal and i will fail mot, that doesn't matter to me. The make of the bulbs are xseven for anyone wondering.
I try to fit them in low beam but because of kia stupid design, where they decided to make the electrical connector same with the part that keeps the bulb in place, instead of like a simple clip or whatever.
Does anyone fitted any h7 led on kia optima or any other kia that uses this connector? Thanks

It might not to you, but you are putting other drivers in danger by unsafe beam pattern. Could be that they end up crashing into you as you have blinded them.. 🤢

I don't put anyone in danger. A bigger danger is people using full beam on all roads for exemple. Just because you seen some aftermarket led blinding others that doesn't mean all of them do that. Cheap ones do that, high quality ones? No so much or barely. I tested these on someone else car and there is no blinding happening. I like how the discussion is how bad i am for wanting these, when you have cars out from the factory blinding everyone on the other side just with low beam. Or how i could use them off road but you never stopped to think about this, you just got angry for no reason. Get some help with anger management.

If you want LED, then find a set of Kia LED units & do a full headlight replacement to keep it legal (y)

I'm not angry. Just pointing out the folly of your point that you are not bothered about other road users. Kinda sums up many people these days. I'm all right jack & sod the rest of you...

Non std LED fitments are banned for a reason 🤢

Again, that depends a lot from leds to leds. Not all of them will blind others, plus probably most of people don't adjust them properly. Again, not bothered because i already tested these , they don't blind anyone. I said that just so i don't get in this long discussion. Oh well..excuse me because i don't want to pay a lot of money for some kia led units.
For the last time, tested and they don't blind anyone, learn the difference between cheap led and good ones..
I didn't make this post to fight with anyone..i made it in the hope someone else tried this and found an adapter

You are one of those dangerous motorists whose driving licence should be discontinued.

Undoubtedly, even if you suggest that you might need more powerful headlamps for off-road use, you would still use those illegal lamps on-road.

As you have stated that legality doesn’t matter to you, then you are unfit to share our roads with decent people who do comply with the various laws.

Of course I'm the problem not the fact that so many people these days don't know how to drive. So many people these days drive with full beam on. So many cars these days come out of factory with leds and the auto stabilisation of them its so bad it will actually blind you. But yeah, I'm the problem by trying to fit some lights that will not die in a month like anything i tried before now, because i drive over 50 hours per week and by trying to fit them in actually good manner where would not blind people. Go on tell me how it's illegal, a lot of things are illegal just because otherwise corporations will lose money. Other stuff that are illegal to some extent? Mods on your car. I don't say i don't care about other drivers, i said these will not blind others as i already tested them and seen them in action on other cars.
Oh btw..you can switch the leds with normal bulbs when you're on the road, is not like you glue the leds right?😂 You don't alter in any way the unit, you just change a bulb, wich you can change back whenever you want, so your point?
Can you read past the "led lights as aftermarket"? Just because some idiot blinded you with cheap leds, that doesn't mean all of them are the same. Stop getting so triggered when you hear leds

What I find amazing is that when someone comes here asking for advice on how to do something totally illegal on UK roads, they insist on boastfully trying to justify that. And yes they know what they are proposing to do is illegal, but they will do it anyway because the law is an ass and they know better.
I’m extremely glad I have an automatic dimming rear view mirror, just for the fact that, God forbid, I may one dark night encounter you behind me, or worse still coming towards me 😱
