The Kia Sportage is one of the nicest looking SUV's on the road and I took delivery on one last year for that reason, I have noticed over the last couple of months severe wear on the drivers seat so much so that the leather is torn but what alarmed me more is that the leather is like paper, the grade of leather used is ofvery low quality, Kia says thatthey haveno problems of this naturerecorded.check these photos outhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/cmgroup/sets/

It seems that this is a common issue, so who ever told you that they have no record of this, is probably telling a few lies.

I am sorry to hear of similar problemswith the seats I am a firm believer thatSlovakia maybe the culprit leading to the bad quality, Hyundai's i35 is built in the same factory and in many respects use the same parts as the Sportage so I have no doubt we have unsatisfied owners of the i35 as well, ifI opened a can of worms I apologise in advance.
