HI All,


I would like your valued opinion before i go in and ask.Acouple ofmonths ago i bought my Sorento from a non KIA dealer and they had done the 1st service on the car.



The naggingquestion at the back of my mind is will the warranty balance still be valid although a non KIA garage carried out the 1st service or will i need to go and get its 1st service again with a KIA dealer to maintain the warranty. I suspect the answer will be yes i do need to go and get it done again.



I will pop in on Wednesday to ask but wanted youropinion before i listened to the service managers sales pitch.

Jim,
If you suspect that the Sorento has been serviced using non-Kia parts, then get it serviced again by a Kia main dealer. Kia will reject warranty claimsif non genuine Kia parts are evident.

Thanks for the reply. It was a Hyundi garage and not sure they used KIA approved parts. So 1st thing wednesday morning will pop in and book it in for its 1st year service as i dont want to invalidate my warranty.
