When coming to stop getting a clunk just a the last minute before fully stopped. It does this in gear clutch fully down or out of gear and clutch out. Any ideas anyone. Cheers.

The best way to find out and/or eliminate components would be to get the vehicle on a hoist or over a pit and check out all the exhaust, suspension and steering components. With the wheels in the air, the hubs and driveshafts can be examined but before doing any of that, a visual check of the luggage area and underfloor for a loose object/spare wheel needs to be ruled out.

Engine and gearbox mountings are other possibilities but letting an experienced mechanic inspect the underside, preferably on a hoist with the ability to jack up the wheels would probably yield the answer.

To check the engine mounts you may be able to observe the upper ones, with the hood open, get someone to rev the engine a bit while looking for movement, look for cracks too.
