Am having a kia sportage 2008 model . 2 Liter petrol engine. The recommended engine oil as per user manual is 10w30, 5w20, 5w30. Am living in middle east. I bought the car from one of my friend. Presently he has put 20w50 oil in it, and now its the time to get oil changed. The ODO is 198k. Shall I use the same engine oil?? And the present temp here is around 40-43 degree celcius. Kindly give feedback on this as am new to the car field. Any brands or suggestions.. ???

Hi Abin - welcome to the forum
We have a 2008 Sportage - our owners manual suggests
20w50 (API SL or above) for temp range minus 5 to +50 deg c.
and 15w40 (API SL or above)for temp range minus 15 to +50 deg c
so maybe 20w50 or 15w 50 (if available ?)
Sorry cannot recommend any brands as not sure what is available in your country.

rgds max
