the egr pipe on my kia rio keeps cracking this is the 4th in less than 2 years and was wondering if anyone can let me know what it might be.
the car is only 152.and is a 1.1 diesil
no one can tell me what might be causeing it or what would fix it

Where's it cracking from?

Logically thinking about it. Air intake goes to intercooler then goes through egr cooler, cooling exhaust intake and then mixing with exhaust gases as mixed air intake.

Has the egr solenoid been tested/cleaned/replaced?

Just in case solenoid is stuck in closed position and causing hotspots along the egr cooler. Dumb question but worth asking whoever replaced it the last 4 times!

Any undue mechanical stress ? Engine mountings, previous accident damage worth considering too.
