Is it OK to charge my Niro with the 10amp from a plug in socket long term, as I have an out of date charger and am looking at hundreds of pounds to update it for what seems a slight reduction in charging time.

I've been using the 10 amp charger from a standard 13 amp socket for over a year now, with no issues. On Octopus Go my cheap rate window is four hours and even with the battery effectively empty (0 mile range) it gets to 100% within that time period. No point having it charge faster overnight...

You can also change the standard home charger to 12A to decrease charge time

Not mine you can't, 6A, 8A or 10A. Some of the older ones could do 12A I think, but later models were changed.
