Tomorrow is the local dealers launch event for the EV4, but unfortunately am away so can't go. So neighbour and I played a game of what spec would you want if available (I'm coming from Niro EV 4 and he from an Irish GT-Line S EV3 (which incidentally was cheaper than the UK GT-Line, although only difference seems to be it doesn't have the HK speakers).
We both came up with an almost identical spec.(using the KIA press release) that we reckon would come-in with a sub ÂŁ40K price and avoid the expensive car tax.

Basically:
GT-Line S trim but with following changes:
  • 17-inch alloy wheels (both would prefer the extra few miles of range)
  • Body coloured door mirrors (both don't want gloss black anywhere on exterior)
  • Matt Black side sills and wheel arches (as with the AIR EV3 - better than gloss)
  • Grey headlining (Black makes car too dark inside)
  • Don't need ambient lighting (it's a gimmick)
  • No sunroof (neither of us have used it on our cars)
  • Don't need relaxation seats (neither of us can see the point)
  • Standard speaker system (we both said our hearing is such that we can't notice difference)
What do others think?

I have not seen any mention of a GT-Line S in Ireland, only the GT-Line (no 'S'). From what I've seen, the Irish GT-Line is closer to the UK GT-Line S than the UK GT-Line. I was at my dealer (Kia Liffey Valley, Dublin) last week and was told they're expecting the EV4 at the end of the year. Will just have to wait to see if we get the GT-LIne and GT-Line S specs or just the one as with the EV3 now. For me-myself-I, I prefer the top spec EV3 and maybe EV4 as I have a Niro K4 PHEV with HUD and ventilated seats and would not like to miss those options on a future model.
