Looking forward to seeing the spec and pricing. Hoping the UK will get the 12” HUD and built in dashcams as seen on many of the YouTube vids. If it does I’m sold. Also hoping it’s less than £40k to avoid luxury tax.ill be going for the gt line long range version.

Not sure you’ll see built in dash cams on the European version, as there are still countries within Europe that ban their use. It’s probably why we haven’t seen them on any other european Kias.

Was wondering about that. Not a dealbreaker though I wonder how Tesla cars get away with it

Teslas have cameras as part of the Autopilot function. I guess in regions where dashcams are not allowed they just disable the recording function in the software.

Looks like I’ll be moving the dash cams from my sportage then 😂

Wondering if I really need the heat pump in the uk as don’t do any long journeys so about 7-10 percent extra range in cold weather wouldn’t be a lot for me. Anybody got any tips

Are we being ripped off by Kia. Advertising the car at a price and then another £625 for paint as there doesn’t appear to be a free colour option. ?? Maybe you can have it unpainted then.

Just the usual poor QA on the website.

Sunset Orange is the standard 'free' paint option as was announced a couple of weeks ago in the UK press release...

"As with almost all Kia models, the generous list of standard equipment means the only option for customers to choose is the paint. EV3 ‘Air’ models feature an eye-catching Sunset Orange as standard, with four optional premium colours – White Pearl, Midnight Black, Lithium Silver, and Frost Blue – available for an additional £625."

For GT-Line and GT-Line S...

"Like the ‘Air’, the EV3 ‘GT-Line’ is offered as standard with Sunset Orange paintwork. For £625 extra, available premium paint options are White Pearl, Midnight Black, Shale Grey or Pistachio Green."

It’s just the configurator on Kia website doesn’t give you an option of the free colour as even the sunset orange is priced at £625. Probably a glitch but anyone ordering be careful of that detail.

Just got back from an ev3 launch event and must say I was a little disappointed. It’s not for me. I just didn’t like the front end of it. Talking to the salesman he said I wasn’t the only one that has said that. But on the positive side I did spot a Niro ev 4 that I really liked the look of so maybe tempted with that one. He said it’s a showroom model that’s coming off the showroom end of September so I can have it straight away if I want it. I’ll do a couple of weeks research on it and decide in a few weeks.

Was it the standard or GT-Line model they were showing?
I don't like the look of the GT-Line front end with it's 'sad-face' styling

It was the GT Line model loved the tech but not the style.

The 'GT-Line S' is the only version they have to show in Europe at the moment, and it is a pre-production car as well.

I don’t think it’s a pre-production car as the pre-production car had a full panoramic sun roof. The one I saw at the launch had a basic sun roof.

It is pre-production, the most obvious visible feature is the gap between the back of the rear seats and the load cover.

There are also a few small difference in the materials used inside the car, but it was made clear to us that the versions that are in Europe right now are not the final production cars.

They are very close though, just not final...

Shame I didn’t like the front end shape. Will probably go for the Niro ev 4.

There are some great deals out there for low-mileage 2023 cars if you don't have to have new.

Shaving more than £10k off the price seems like a good deal.

Got my eye on a showroom model that’s coming off showroom end of this month. All kitted out with all the works Front and rear dash cams carpets boot liner etc. ev4 they reckon they can knock about 6k off and it’s done 15 miles.interstellar grey. Looks stunning
