Hi my touchscreen has stopped working Kia Yeovil have told me I need a replacement for £1000!
I was wondering if I could take a similar unit from another car a put into mine?

You can. But I would make sure it is the same part No to make sure that there are no issues.

Other option is to just get the screen refurbished.

In short i've had no issues in swapping out a like-for-like (exact model number) for a second hand unit in my 2017 Sportage, all the units just seem to be held in with screws, and I didn't require any codes. but its finding out how best to remove the facia/vents without damaging them or the surrounding plastics that seems the tricky bit.

this one also makes interesting reading if you are considering upgrading or going for a cheaper chinese unit, as there would appear to be a number of adaptor cables required to keep all functionalities
