I'm after info on Parking Sensor, mine being the 4 Tech has the Park Assist too (tho never used...) its not constant tone in reverse and the RED U shape under the drivers rear outer Sensor.
1, anyone have part numbers? (are they all same inc car with Park assist?)
2, Is it a DIY doable job?

Have you tried to clean the sensors first, then apply some WD40 to take off any moisture?

Oh Yes....WD, Switch cleaner and used my Comperssor and blasted it with air gun.....it actualy makes quite the high pitch squeel when you hit it with compressed air!!! LOL

Seeing how there are over 20 different part numbers for that parking sensor, i would venture we're better off taking the correct one off the one on the car.

i'm having one of my parking sensors replaced in 2 days at the kia garage, i will ask them to either leave the old parking sensor with me or give me a part number for it

I've had the service done, i've paid an horrific 354£ fee for 1 single sensor, labour and VAT. Never again will i go to them for anything that's not engine related.

For anyone curious, the parking sensor part number is 96890A50001k

Assuming the part was no more than 100 GBP, was the rest of the fee the labor cost? Did you get an invoice with cost breakdown?

Yes, i did get a cost breakdown: 71£ for diagnosing the parking sensor "in order to ensure the harness is not faulty" and 57£ for replacing it,
the parking sensor was nearly 160£ and the rest was VAT.

Did the labour include that the entire bumper was taken off in order to replace the sensor? This could be an explanation.

The 160 GBP though for the part, omg... If it was required to replace all 10 sensors, front and back, the parts alone would be 1600 GBP? Makes no sense. That is why these cars are called totaled by the insurance companies, even after a relatively minor accident.
