Hi my key fob isn't working on unlock does anyone know where we could get it repaired without going to a main dealer and spending a fortune, thanks

Have you checked the battery? If not try replacing (owners manual should tell you how to do it, otherwise 'Google' it). Do not use cheap replacement batteries but use Duracell.(I know this from experience) Alternatively some Morrisons supermarkets (others may also) have kiosks instore who do battery key fob replacement at a reasonable cost

The buttons on mine became soft and spongy and then a couple stopped working and not wanting to pay out if not necessary I asked my local Kia dealer what could be done.

A very helpful young man explained that sometimes the protective grease around the buttons congeals leaving the buttons stiff to operate or stuck completely so they stop working.

He suggested opening up the case, cleaning out the old grease and re-greasing with silicone grease which I did and hey presto, it’s like new.
