Rio 1.1 CRDi 1 Air.
While driving along at my usual speed of 50 mph the yellow dashboard warning light for the ISG system comes on and at the same time the on off switch also illuminates. If you press the on off switch nothing happens. After a few minutes still driving along at 50 mph both lights go off for no apparent reason.
I wondered if you had an explanation as to why this happens.
I should point out that the ISG system seems to be working correctly in every other way.

Hi corsa57<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

From what you've said, it may be an indication that
the battery is not at full charge and once it has achieved the correct state of
charge, the light goes out. However, the
ISG system is rather complex so without inspecting the car, we wouldn't be able
to accurately provide an explanation for what you're experiencing.

Thank you for your reply. This incident has occurredtwice thus far andeach timeI had covered some 40 to 50 miles on the journey before the warning light came on. No items of heavy battery drain were engaged at the time like heated rear winwow etc.
I will monitor the system for a week or soand try to see if I can identify a pattern. In the meantime I will speak to my dealer.
