ISG and Auto stop

Idle Stop and Go (ISG) is activated as soon as you start the car, you don't turn it on. However you can turn it off using the switch located to the left below the binnacle. Kia ISG is very spasmodic, especially on diesel cars and is dependent on numerous factors, the main factor being battery condition. There are numerous threads on the forum about ISG.
It rarely works on my car and frankly I don't worry about it.

I'm a bit puzzled by this. I know some of the earlier Sportage's didn't have ISG, our previous 2017 Sportage CRDi 2.0 litre KX-2 didn't have it, but I thought it was standard on all the Sportage's after 2018 facelift. ??
