Had my Sportage XS auto for a week now, very impressed with the car.

Auto box well suited to the oil burning engine, and seems well built.

I have the Ipod cable with the car, but can I plug in a USB memory stick direct into the socket if it is loaded with MP3 music files and will the audio system playthem?

My only grip so far is the interior rear view mirror at night, is it possible to fit an automatic dipping type?

Yes, usb stick will play in there just fine (better than ipod imho)
Kia do offer one.. but you really do not want to know the price, it's horrific!!!
Check ebay for one getting broken.
