If anyone's thinking of buying one, it's worth noting that the price of the one I bought has just dropped to £59.59 + vat (£72)
Follow the link in the first post above
Yesterday £56.43 + vat. That's dynamic pricing in action!

But there's a discount code ASUK08 that brings it down to £61,91 inc vat & shipping. Now tempted!

Install should be a straightforward Plug & Play - advise to first test it with the short USB C-C it comes with. As for using longer cables, I dont know what it is about modern USB data leads but it seems a bit random whether or not they'll work with the device.
This is the seemingly perfect angled cable I bought that DIDNT work

This is the angled adaptor that DID work with another cable

This is the C-C cable that did work (pack of 4)
@restyler Well, the box arrived today, but as predicted, i can't get it to work.

1. Plugged in using the supplied short USBC-C cable. Plugged it in the left hand data socket. After a few seconds the Smart Ai Box lit up and started cycling through the colours.
2. Then via bluetooth paired my S24 Ultra to the Smart Ai Box. The phone now then had two bluetooth connections, the car and the box
3. Instructions then say click the 'SpeedPlay' App - couldn't find that.
$. Also set my phone up as a hotspot as I don't have a separate SIM, but when I did that and turned my WiFi off, Android Auto disconnected.

So can you help me and let me know what I'm doing wrong and how do you access the Speedplay app?

Thanks

No need to pair your phone via Bluetooth to the box, you only need phone to provide the WiFi hotspot. Don't know what the speedplay app is, so probably not important.
Think I was initially given the option to choose between my (android) phone or the box. Even though it's an android 13 box, think they use the apple carplay system to connect to the car
Is your phone apple? Might consider unlinking the phone from the car while you do the initial set up of the box. Hope something in this helps.
The phone is Android. Will unlink the phone and try again.

If you are not connecting your phone to the box via bluetooth, is it then just connecting via wifi?

Some progress, it gave me the option to link the box via Apple carplay, which I did, but I cannot figure out how to connect the WiFi hotspot. I've enabled it on my phone, but no devices show up and cannot access the box settings.

I powered everything down and tried to connect through Android Auto but it would only connect via Apple Carplay, which is frustrating and also, again I could not connect the box to the Wifi hotspot.
