Kia sportage indicators. I have a dealer fitted tow bar and
the dealer that fitted it cannot sort the indicators I am now on my 3rd
flasher unit! The warning light that has been added on the dash to show that
the trailer indicators are working, (a legal requirement,) works all the time,
even when a tail board is not plugged in. the reason for this is because the
flasher unit has a shunt to measure the current pull. The sportage is I think
unique in that it has 2x21watt bulbs in each front light unit. This means that
if the hazard are used with a caravan plugged in to the tow hitch a total of
8x21watt plus 2 repeaters on the front wings need to be powered from the
flasher unit! But my main problem is that the extra bulb in the headlight unit
is seen by the flasher unit as a tail board. The only way round this I think is
LED bulbs or 2 relays for the extra bulbs! Help please

As a quick work round I though to remove one bulb from each
headlight. My hand book say loosen the retaining bolts and remove the
headlight. But I can see only one bolt which dose not completely free the
headlight. There is no mention of the wiring or headlight adjuster. How do I get
the light unit out? Car is a 2007 XS V6
