Not sure how it happened, but rear centre seat belt on my '12 Sportage is cut almost all the way and failed it's MoT., this is the roof mounted rear one. Went to a Kia dealer and bought the replacement unit but can't see how to get the old one out. Asked the dealer and one of their mechs said got to take all the headlining out and it's booked at 2.5 hours but it's a real Bu**er to do.

So my question is does anybody have any ideas how to deo this myself?

Bearing in mind it's 100k miles 12 reg, but excellent car, I don't mind causing a bit of damage. Thinking of using a Dremel to cut/destroy the plastic housing off and then when the job's done, glue the bits back in. Or not??

But if you know a better easier way, I'm all ears.

TIA

If the dealer has to remove the headline and its a right bugger then I suspect that is how you would have to do it. If there was an easier way they would surely do that.
