At one point a 9month waiting list on some specs! And people did wait that long too! Pretty much says it all! Just as long as you remeber, no matter what car you buy new.. They will always have niggles you'll be fine. Got a proceed 4 myself and am the happiest driver I've been since I past my driving test.

Hi and welcome to the forum.

I have little doubt that the AWD Sportage will be fine in the snow and ice for you in a hilly environment.

If you are in any doubt that it will meet your needs ask to take an extended test drive so you can drive it home on the roads you will use the most. That will give you a good idea how it copes with the terrain.

Interesting you say you want a petrol one?? Can I ask why? Surely diesel is the way to go for the 4x4 version?
