The new Sportage HEV has a separate 12v battery, and on the dash next to the Parking brake switch is another switch labelled ‘12v battery reset’ This can be used if you’ve maybe left your lights on by accident or perhaps used some other electrical system that has drained the 12v battery. You can press the switch and the Hybrid battery will put enough charge back into the 12v battery to start the car.
I don’t yet have my car, but this is explained in this YouTube video at around 37min:30sec…..

So the 12V reset means its a lithium battery then, same as the Niro. (y) & not a old style 12V battery 🤣
As the guy didn’t say it was a lithium battery then I assumed (rightly or wrongly ) that it was a standard 12v battery. If it turns out to be a separate lithium battery then I stand corrected.

Will have to wait & see if any users are out checking their cars. 🤣

Did take me a while to work it out, as looking for battery is not exactly top of the lists when you get a new car 🤷‍♂️
