Hi all
Key fob - dead - changed battery no luck
Key turns but just a small click feels like it’s doing nothing so can’t get inside car!
Need it to do food drops on Wednesday - help!
Thanks

The key has manual override, doesn't it?
You can pull a traditional looking key out from the fob and get into the car manually.
Then open the bonnet and charge/change the battery.

Is your model equipped with a removable key inside the fob? If it is, then you can remove the end piece of trim on the driver’s door handle and insert the key to open the door. Then you can open the bonnet and jump-start the car from a friendly neighbour or family member’s car, if you have jump leads!

If that is non-applicable, do you have rescue with home-start? The chaps who turn out to these events (and there have been loads of them during lockdown) are well-acquainted with accessing a number of different types of vehicle. If they cannot get your bonnet open to perform a jump-start, they may well know of someone who can in your vicinity.

Best of luck and thanks for providing a service to others re the food.

The end piece of trim on the door handle may have a rectangular opening on the lower side where the key can be placed to manouver the trim loose without breaking it.

I read that handy tip on this forum recently.

Press on the silver button highlighted.
