Anyone out there had the misfortune to have to change the low beam headlight bulbs in a 2006 Carens CRDi LS ? If so, can you please advise how to access the lights to replace the bulbs without dismantling the front of the vehicle?
Am I missing something simple?

Undo the two bolts on top of the headlight housing and ease out the whole headlamp unit. carefully watching the locating lugs.Replace bulb and replace headlamp unit.

Its nearly impossible to do it from under the bonnet! If I remember correctly, the offside one can just about be done from under the bonnet if you don't mind scraped knuckles!

Cheers,

As Quilman says: Undo the 2 x 10mm bolts (1 on the top & 1 on the side), unclip the 2 electrical connections & slide the whole unit out until you have enough clearance or take it out completely & sit it on a towel or similar & they're easy to change then!
When replacing be aware they need to be "jiggled" to drop into place, you can be quite "firm" doing this, don't be frightened & make sure they sit in their own "recess".
