I just noticed when I had the bonnet up and engine running that the headlamp position motors are sometimes running and this is with the lights off. The aim adjuster in the car does work when the lights are on. It just seems unusual for the motors to run when lights are off.
Has anyone any idea why this is happening ?

Oh right is there a shorting of the contacts in the switch. Its not noticable at night while driving. It was just picked up when I had bonnet up while engine was running. If it was a serious issue there would be a recall on them. Thanks for the info Paul.

wont be a recall we have only seen two cars doing this out of about 140 rio's that we service disconnect the switch and if the motor movemnt stops than that you issue
