hi ,can anyone help me with my handbrake problems ,i have a 2.9 sedona 2003 and when i bought it it had a new mot ,the handbrake is rubbish to say the least ,i have paperwork to say new handbrake cables were fitted for the mot ,can anyone advise what to do

Funny, I found the same problem with the same age of vehicle. But that is a little way down the line of problems to be resolved, steering rack leakage, steering pump noise, clutch slip, ........, as yes Handbrake. Still seeking an Owners Manual.

Its amazing what passes on an MOT these days. In less than 4 weeks the above appear.

Sedona handbrake is a complete mess at the best of times, it's a dark art to adjust correctly.
Shoes need adjusting perfectly first, then slacken all cable adjusters off, put handbrake on 7 clicks, adjust rearmost adjuster first until offside wheel locks solid, then repeat for the forward adjuster to lock the nearside whell.
You'll have asemi decent handbrake for a few miles.
