sensors not been reatached to the handbrake mechanism. Either that of the sensors are dirty with road dirt over time and when the cable was changed its clogged in the openpositionat a guess. Edited by: RichieD76
When I release the foot brake/handbrake, the light and sound doesn't disappear, yet the foot brake works fine. The noise has been driving me nuts too.
Does your footbrake release all the way? I have found that mine doesn't travel the whole way therefore even if its released the cable, it's not enough for the light and sound to stop. To resolve this, I think I need the cable tightened up or replace the gas strut that works the pedal. The temp fix I have found is to have my foot under the pedal and gently lift it up as I pull on the foot brake lever. It will then travel the full way and the lights & sound goes off.
Btw I have a '56 plate Kia Sedona GS 2.9L CRDi. Hope this helps. Edited by: AthenaSue
