This passed week I have noticed that when I change gears into 4th gear it makes a grinding noise. It doesn't happen when changing other gears.

Any thoughts on what could be wrong?

Thank you both. Do you know a rough price for replacing a worn synchro ring? Would it be better to get all synchro rings replaced at the same time?

Yes parts only Hyundai/Kia Uprated Synchromesh Repair Kit other repairers are availble depending where you are located give them a ring,or find somewhere more local to you,they will probably want it for a day.

 

When i had mine done it was 2 days
