I was just curious so thought I would ask your opinions. The OBD in my 2011 Cee'd 2 1.6 crdi has a gear change indicator. It tells you to change up or down to a specific gear. I presume this is a gear suggestion to maximise MPG.

What do others think, do you find it useful or an annoying distraction?
I have driven using it as a guide and have averaged 58.8 mpg (OBD) over a tank-full, so it obviously works.

I ignore mine, you would drive like a granny holding up the traffic flow, and and take forever to get anywhere if you used it.

My thoughts exactly, I have started to ignore mine now.

Great for getting the MPG up and allowing me to play the fuel roulette game!

Just be thankful Kia did not add a pinging sound to go with it! LOL

That's something to be thankful for, I'd take a hammer to it if it pinged.
