There was a fuel consumption thread a whille ago, but I can't see it now. Anyway, just a quick report back on current figures. I was getting 61.4 at best in Winter temperatures, and on Bridgestone LM20 Winter tyres (read: soft compound, block pattern, cuts (sipes) and higher rolling resistance). Now that the weather has warmed up a bit, and the standard Summer tyres are back on, I checked again. Drove 126 miles on a mixture of town, B roads, A roads and some motorways. Tried to be very smooth and not brake, etc. Kept speed to 60 mph or less (e.g. up hills). Readout showed 70.1 mpg just approaching home, which dropped to 69.3 by the time I'd got through all the traffic. Therefore I can say that Kia's claim of 67.3 is achievable, but boy! I had to concentrate hard and use millimetric throttle inputs! It has now come down to 65.4 in mixed conditions.
