Hello,
I have a late 2019 Ceed GT line Lunar edition. I have had it for 4 months and have noticed an occasional problem with the FCA in that it will apply the brakes when there is nothing around. Nothing in the road, nothing on the verges. Fortunately when it has done this there has been nothing behind me, so far.
It also seems to do it on the same stretch of road.
Anyone have any ideas?

It must be something related to that location. I think we have seen other reports of such phenomena (localised mis operation). Can only suggest it is either a radoi energy source nearby or perhaps some natural feature which is a strong radar reflector.

Is this stretch of road near to an airfield or a military establishment?

Hello Turnup,
Neither. It is on a short stretch of dual carriageway that goes under a major dual carriageway. No antennas, no military bases or airfields.

On my 2019 Sportage 4, it's possible to adjust FCA sensitivity in 'driver assistance' settings.
Try that in case there's a sudden shadow or something else that FCA doesn't 'like'.
