hi folks ,as any one done this with the engine still in the car its a 1.1 diesel .2012 rio ..
iv ordered the full kit ,
iv fixed loads of cars in my life and done loads of timing belts
so im going to change the timing chains on our 2012 kia rio .
it as done 117,216 miles , so only just gone round clock and a bit more
this a full service history up to 100.000 we only had it since 25 August 2019
and changed the oil 3 times but last week i could here the chain rattle

well i changed the timing chains all up and running , but now i have the dreaded once turned off got to wait 15 seconds for it to start again, it starts first go in the morning or any other times but if you stop the engine you need to wait 15 seconds for it to start again , it will tern over but no go . .any help thanks

It seems like a lot of issues when changing timing chain on that engine,non starter,15 sec delay,cpu update required more likely at the dealer and so on.... .The manufacturer still have a few untold secrets.
