Hi Folks I would love to pick the brains on this site as to fitting a nearly new hoist for heavy electric wheelchair. My car is a seven seater Serento and not sure as to where we bolt this in car. please can anyone here help us make this a more easier task as it is becoming a night mare.

TBH. I would think that this is something that needs to be done by a mobility fitter to ensure safety.

What age is the sorrento?

Inclined to agree with iooi. If it's a heavy hoist and wheelchair it needs to be structurally secure, even if someone here says they have one bolted to the floor do we know what unseen reinforcement may have been added? I'd try talking to, the hoist manufacturer, a specialist mobility fitting company, the Motability department at KIA either locally or at HQ.

Thank you so much for feedback. We are getting a reparable business to do the work but just wondering if we will have to loose the 6/7 seats in back of our wonderful Sorento before we decide to go ahead. I really really would like to be more independent and since we have been gifted this wonderful piece of machinery I cannot wait for it HOPEFULLY to be installed.
