Ev9 No option on the menu to set the Lighting Pattern

Just taken delivery of my Ev9 I noticed there is no option on the menu under for setting the Lighting Pattern

Settings > Vehicle > Lights > Lighting Pattern
According to the manufacturer notes all Ev9's have this feature except if you have ( Matt Paint). There should be 5 free patterns and 5 to purchase via Kia Connect Store.

I also noticed OTA updates not working vehicle asking for a usb to update. I raised a Kia support case , they sent me a link to update the software, and indeed the software was out of date which was a surprise for a car just delivered. However the software was for a Navigation update.

Used their software Kia Navigation Updater which downloads and copy’s on to a USB.

The new software (8th August) had updates for Sound Cloud / Bluetooth Audio / Ev stations easier to find .

Took ages to install 24 GB File, after installing I noticed that OTA updates options came up, but still no Lighting Pattern Options.


Separately I also wanted to install a fitcamx however I noticed the part number was different 96030-D0500 to their part number on the website says 96030-DO000 the company said it only works on LHD cars which is shame as the cam looks OEM but has anyone tried to fir the LHD part number to the RHD they look identical.

Hi & Welcome.

Remember that EV9 is made in Korea & it is al least a 12 week boat trip due to issues in Red Sea & boats now going round the Cape.
So software is loaded in factory, as well as not unusual for OTA to need a USB upload 1st. Add in you might as well get used to doing that, unless you want to pay ÂŁ80 a year after the 1st 2 OTA.

Is the beam patterns something that needs to be purchased in the APP?
