I have an MY 20 E-Niro, 2 years old this week. I would expect to change it around this time next year and am seriously looking at an EV6 ( test drive tomorrow!). I know a year is a long time in vehicle evolution but one thing that interests me is the V2L capability. I have been following this forum for several months now and no-one has mentioned it even in passing. Does it exist? Does it do what it says on the tin? Is it worth the hassle? Cheers Fred馃殥

Haven't actually received our EV6 yet, but discussed the V2L capability at some length when buying. You need a relatively expensive adaptor to provide the external 13A socket, which I know is included for the GT-L S model but not the Air/Earth model (not sure about the GT-L). I can't imagine ever wanting to use it though, maybe for people who like camping or during a long power outage at home?

If you order it now it might just arrive in twelve months, but don't hold your breath.

I also have an e-Niro and looked at the EV6 but concluded it was too rich at this time - maybe when my contract expires in a year. Interesting to see the Enyaq Coupe and ID5 GTX as competitors. Don鈥檛 know about V2L but when we had a power cut recently, I used the EV to recharge our phones 鉁

I know this is the ionic 5. But proves it can be worthwhile.
I guess in a small way you could charge car on cheap rate, then feed back in daytime. But you would have to be very careful on the loads.

Just how regularly doing this would affect battery is anyone's guess.

TYVM IOOI. That's the kind of thing I would like to do. I have done all my research but just wanted some real world experiences. I have solar PV and could charge from that, to use at night, if the car lets me. My normal evening consumption is about 400wH.

Just need to make sure that you do not end up with so many extension cables every where.

I guess ideal case would be to have a connection outside that fed the required items when V2L is connected.

Used it on a wet day at remote site to make some coffee using internal 3 pin socket , EV6 GT Line

Thank You All. Did the test drive this morning. Order placed for GT Line S RWD. Delivery 1/3/23 at my request.
