EV6 Charging Problems

Inspector Gadget - As I understand it your ICCU has been changed; did your car exhibit a fault code - mine doesn't.
The car just said “check electric vehicle system” every time the AC charge failed.

I tried OBD+Carscanner but didn’t understand the codes, and wasn’t sure how relevant the archive codes were. I did seem to have a couple of active codes, so I sent the report to my dealership - who said it wasn’t detailed enough for them. Was only after I took the car in that they said it needed a new ICCU, but they didn’t tell me how they knew.

Good morning,

Sadly since the recall a car that's been charging 100% fine on both AC / DC has got to the point where it won't charge at all. I won't name and shame but the Kia Dealer I took it to said they couldn't find an issue even after sending them this:

Stranded in Scotland trying charger after charger was a game changer for me.

After getting the car back from the dealer it now refuses to charge at home just sits there flashing after an audible "Thunk"

Any one had anything similar? I've heard reference to the RCU tripping? What is that?

Thanks for any advice!

Sorry to hear that. My car stopped AC charging soon after the ICCU recall, and that's after two years of flawless charging.
My dealer replaced the ICCU after that.
I don't think it was a coincidence that it happened.
