Has anyone had any probs. or heared of any potential probs in remapping for increased BHP and Torque on the Sportage 2.0 CRDI Diesel as I would like to get a bit more power for towing if poss.but do not want to compomise the engine and drive train.

If its for towing try get a map that's suited for better torque. Torque is to get you up to speed and power if to maintain speed. There was talk on another thread about low end clutch judder and that it was due to too much low down torque for the gearbox and the kia ECU engine upgrade to restrict it. The sportage is quite a good puller anyway. If you do have it tuned just makes sure you don't loose torque as it will havea an adverse affect. I won't lie I'm not a fan of the tunning boxes as in my experience every single engine is different and should be mapped accordingly. Edited by: RichieD76
