Good evening, I am hoping for some advice on why my engine management light has just came on?
I know that I need a obdII device to read it however the nazis at the Kia garage want to charge £80 for reading the fault code!
Not happy, any ideas/common reasons why this light comes on?

Best Regards

Rob.

Well, this morning it has gone off again.
The only thing I done was remove the petrol filler cap and re-seat it, as the instruction manual stated that if the cap is out of kilter it will cause the light to come on.
Fingers crossed this is the last I have seen it, will report back with further updates if it comes back on again.

Managed to get an OBDII Reader and this is what was saved;

P0325 Knock Sensor Circuit Malfunction

Any ideas?

You will need to check the wiring to the knock sensor for fraying and leakage to earth and while your there check the values of the sensor. It could be a fault in the sensor or wiring or both.
Try unplugging the wires and clean with electrical contact cleaner and reconnect as it maybe dirty contacts. Worth a try
