Last night the windows in our 2006 Carens GS stopped working properly. The drivers window doesn't open but the switches on the drivers door can open the front passenger window and the rear windows. The front passenger window doesn't open neither does the rear left hand side window. The rear right window does open on its own. (hope this isn't confusing). I have read a few things on the web about possible causes. These are a window lock has been put on accidently and also that the switches may have got clogged up with debris and need cleaning.

Any thoughts or tips on how to resolve this matter would be greatly appreciated.

If it is the switches that need cleaning, how do I do this and how easy is it to do?

Many Thanks

from the fuse box located under the bonnet. It is labelled pwr /w or something similar. There are two small fuses for this think they are both 25amp.It was one of these. They cost about 40p each from a motor accessories shop. Dont go to Halfords or somewhere similar they charge a fortune for the fuses.

Sorry forthe vagueness but am writing this from memory.

Hope this helps.
